Alprazolam Kinetics Following Sublingual and Oral Administration
Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology, 1987Thirteen healthy volunteers received 1 mg of alprazolam, as the commercially available oral tablet, by sublingual and oral routes on two occasions in random sequence. Plasma alprazolam concentrations during 48 hours after each dose were measured by electron-capture gas-liquid chromatography.

γ-Cyclodextrin: Testosterone Complex Suitable for Sublingual Administration
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1987A crystalline complex of testosterone with gamma-cyclodextrin was evaluated for solubility and dissolution rate. Whereas these parameters were at least an order of magnitude lower than those of testosterone complexes with amorphous derivatives of cyclodextrins, the properties of the crystalline complex enabled the preparation of a suitable ...

Pharmacokinetic aspects of the sublingual administration of vincamine
Biopharmaceutics & Drug Disposition, 1990AbstractThe sublingual absorption of vincamine used as tracer occurs in two successive absorption steps: true sublingual absorption and absorption in the gastrointestinal tract of the drug dissolved in the saliva and not absorbed through the buccal mucosa. This is confirmed by a pharmacokinetic study and simulation. These two successive absorptions can
