Bank IPOs and Regulations: Cross‐Country Evidence
ABSTRACT The present paper investigates the effect of banking industry regulations on bank initial public offering (IPO) underpricing. We approach this question from both a micro‐level and macro‐level regulatory perspective. First, we conduct our analysis within a micro framework, focusing on the effect of disclosure rules on IPO underpricing.

ABSTRACT Mucous membrane pemphigoid (MMP) following anti‐programmed cell death‐1 (PD‐1) therapy is rare but increasingly reported. Management of high‐ and low‐risk MMP in this setting and the potential oncologic trade‐offs remain poorly defined. We performed a narrative synthesis of all published cases of anti‐PD‐1‐associated MMP, following MEDLINE ...

ABSTRACT Introduction D‐dimers are produced by lysis of cross‐linked fibrin. In children, D‐dimer testing is used to evaluate disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) and some inflammatory states, but its use is not validated for screening or ruling out suspected venous thromboembolic events (VTE).

Impact of Artificial Intelligence for Detection of Precancerous Colonic Lesions in a Fecal Immunochemical Blood Test-Based Organized Screening Program in Italy: A Randomized Control Trial. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Background The fecal immunochemical test (FIT) is widely implemented as a first‐line tool in organized colorectal cancer (CRC) screening programs, including Italy. Following a positive FIT, colonoscopy is recommended. Computer‐aided detection (CADe) systems have the potential to enhance adenoma detection, particularly in FIT‐positive ...

How Important Is the Home Market for Cross‐Listed Biotech Companies?
ABSTRACT This study investigates five German biotechnology firms cross‐listed on XETRA and NASDAQ. By employing high‐frequency data, we estimate both bivariate and trivariate vector error correction models—the latter explicitly accounting for exchange rate dynamics—to assess which market, domestic or U.S., leads in price discovery.

The impact of public drop‐off boxes and autonomous delivery robots in last‐mile delivery
Abstract The growing concern over emissions from last‐mile logistics is motivating the development of innovative delivery models aimed at reducing environmental impact and traffic congestion. To this end, we propose a last‐mile delivery scheme based on both public drop‐off boxes and autonomous delivery robots.

This study focuses on a specific aspect of lawyers’ drafting process: the practice of reviewing disclosures previously filed by other issuers—a practice termed ...

Abstract We examine the effect of the inevitable disclosure doctrine (IDD) on cost of debt. Our difference‐in‐differences analyses reveal that the IDD significantly reduces the loan spread for borrowers in adopting states. To elucidate the mechanisms of such finding, we find that the IDD's effect is weaker in industries with high management turnover ...

ABSTRACT Objective Sympathetic‐sensory coupling is increasingly implicated in joint homeostasis and disease. Towards the long‐term goal of deciphering its role in temporomandibular disorders (TMDs), we characterised the spatial relationships of sympathetic and sensory nerves and their receptors in the mouse temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and trigeminal ...

Larval diapause intensity of Monochamus alternatus follows a declining curve, beginning with an initial refractory phase and reaching termination after approximately 110 days of chilling at 9°C. Residual inhibitory state strongly influenced post‐chilling development; additional chilling shortened the diapause period more at 18°C than at warmer ...
