Baroreceptors in the Adrenal Gland
Science, 1968Afferent activity from dissected filaments of nerves to the adrenal gland was recorded. Firing rates of single fibers followed changes in systemic blood pressure. Chemically and mechanically induced changes in blood pressure were reflected by an appropriate directional change in unit activity.

Myelolipoma of the adrenal gland is a rare, benign tumor of which only 17 clinical cases have been reported previously in the literature. We document 1 additional case and review the pathogenesis of the tumor, with emphasis on the theory of the tissue necrosis as the major stimulus of the myelolipomatous changes in the adrenals.

Perineurioma of the Adrenal Gland
Ultrastructural Pathology, 2009The authors report the first case of perineurioma of the adrenal gland. The tumor was composed of elongated wavy spindle cells focally arranged in a fascicular pattern. It was positive for epithelial membrane antigen (EMA) and claudin-1, and was negative for S-100 protein and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP).

A rare case of a lipoma of the adrenal gland is reported with a review of the literature. The tumor was incidentally found at autopsy in a 50‐year‐old man who died from severe head trauma after a traffic injury. At autopsy, an oval‐shaped, soft yellow nodule measuring 1.1 cm in diameter was found in the right adrenal cortex.
