Cryosurgery of the Adrenal Gland

open access: yesTechnology in Cancer Research & Treatment, 2004
Adrenalectomy has become the standard of care for the management of hormonally active adrenal masses. Minimally invasive adrenal-sparing surgical techniques have recently been introduced for the treatment of benign adrenal lesions, with the intent of complete excision or destruction.

European multicentre study on outcome of surgery for sporadic primary hyperparathyroidism

open access: yesBJS (British Journal of Surgery), EarlyView., 2020
Some 5861 patients undergoing first‐time surgery for sporadic primary hyperparathyroidism were registered in the Eurocrine® database between 2015 and 2018. The use of intraoperative parathyroid hormone measurement decreased the risk of conversion and persistent hypercalcaemia.

Case Report: Adrenal Pathology Findings in Severe COVID-19: An Autopsy Study

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, 2020
. Although high mortality has been reported in many COVID-19 studies, very limited postmortem information from complete autopsies is available. We report the findings in the adrenal glands in 28 autopsies with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection.
