Adrenal incidentaloma: Surgical update

Journal of Endocrinological Investigation, 2007
Nowadays, the role of surgery in the treatment of adrenal incidentalomas (AI), considering their biologic behavior, is still debated. [Adrenal incidentaloma].

Zentralblatt fur Chirurgie, 1995
Asymptomatic adrenal tumors are discovered more and more frequently with improving quality of diagnostic imaging. Treatment of these tumors, described as incidentalomas is controversial and depends on the one hand on the size of the tumor and on the other hand on morphological appearance in diagnostic imaging.

[Adrenal incidentalomas].

Der Chirurg; Zeitschrift fur alle Gebiete der operativen Medizen, 2007
Adrenal incidentalomas are clinically inapparent masses detected incidentally with imaging studies conducted for other reasons. They are relatively common and require structured diagnostic workup. In many cases surveillance is warranted. The diagnostic workflow has to reveal whether the mass is hormonally functioning and/or if there is evidence of ...
