The novel lysergamide 1‐(furan‐2‐carbonyl)‐LSD (1F‐LSD) was analytically characterized. 1F‐LSD showed LSD‐like activity in vivo similar to 1‐(thiophene‐2‐carbonyl)‐LSD (1T‐LSD) used for comparison. Administration studies in mice and LC–MS analysis revealed that 1F‐LSD served as a prodrug.

Comparing the effects of intravenous injection and intranasal atomisation of detomidine in sheep
This paper compares the intravenous and intranasal routs of Detomidine administration in sheep. Abstract Background Detomidine is an α‐2 agonist sedative drug which reduces the release of norepinephrine in nerves. Administering this drug through intranasal (IN) route could cause direct transmission to the central nervous system.

Regarding cardiovascular effects, DMH decreased vascular reactivity to phenylephrine and acetylcholine. We observed that the combination of DPH and 8‐Cl‐T was identified as the responsible for increasing blood pressure and heart rate in the biological model used.

Markers for internal neoplasia in the horse
The measurement of tumour markers in horses should be performed only in risk groups or in patients with suspicious clinical/laboratory findings (paraneoplastic syndromes). The results should be interpreted with caution as many factors (e.g., young age, pregnancy and inflammation) affect their concentration or activity.

Abstract Aims This study aimed to identify factors associated with frailty in heart failure (HF) patients, focusing on demographic, biochemical and health‐related variables. It also explored the correlation between frailty and comorbidities such as malnutrition, cognitive impairment and depression, assessing how these factors interact to influence ...

Models of the cardiac L‐type calcium current: A quantitative review
We discuss 73 published models of mammalian ICaL and find differences in gating kinetics, electrochemical driving force, and sensitivity to internal calcium concentrations, leading to considerable variability in their predictions. Abstract The L‐type calcium current (ICaL) plays a critical role in cardiac electrophysiology, and models of ICaL are vital
