Investigation of the Adrenergic and Opioid Binding affinities, Metabolic Stability, Plasma Protein Binding Properties and Functional Effects of Selected Indole-based Kratom Alkaloids.

open access: yesJournal of Medicinal Chemistry, 2019
Selected indole-based kratom alkaloids were evaluated for their opioid and adrenergic receptor binding and functional effects, in vivo antinociceptive effects, plasma protein binding and metabolic stability.

Postnatal - Physiological Research of the Bronchial Receptor System Development on the Isolated Preparation of The Human Trachea In Vitro

open access: yesBiomolecules & Biomedicine, 2006
Research was done on pharmacological-physiological development of the bronchial receptor system on the smooth muscles of trachea in the newborn children, alive-born and stillborn children.

Adrenergic Modulation with Photochromic Ligands [PDF]

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, 2020
Adrenoceptors are ubiquitous and regulate heart and respiratory rate, digestion, metabolism, and vascular tone. They can be activated or blocked with adrenergic drugs, but systemic administration causes broad adverse effects. We have developed photochromic ligands (adrenoswitches) to switch on and off adrenoceptor activity on demand at selected ...

FRET biosensor uncovers cAMP nano-domains at β-adrenergic targets that dictate precise tuning of cardiac contractility

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
Compartmentalized cAMP/PKA signalling is now recognized as important for physiology and pathophysiology, yet a detailed understanding of the properties, regulation and function of local cAMP/PKA signals is lacking.

β-Adrenergic Signaling in Mice Housed at Standard Temperatures Suppresses an Effector Phenotype in CD8+ T Cells and Undermines Checkpoint Inhibitor Therapy.

open access: yesCancer Research, 2017
The immune context of tumors has significant prognostic value and is predictive of responsiveness to several forms of therapy, including immunotherapy. We report here that CD8+ T-cell frequency and functional orientation within the tumor microenvironment

Autoantibodies Against β1‐Adrenoceptor Exaggerated Ventricular Remodeling by Inhibiting CTRP9 Expression

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease, 2019
Background Autoantibodies against the second extracellular loop of the β1‐adrenoceptor (β1‐AA) act similarly to agonist of β1‐adrenergic receptor, which plays an important role in the pathophysiological characteristics of ventricular remodeling. Recently,

Adrenergic urticaria and adrenergic pruritus.

open access: yesActa Dermato-Venereologica, 1990
We report here on 2 patients with adrenergic urticaria and adrenergic pruritus, respectively. The lesions and features developed during phases of stress and during the attacks were associated with an increase in the plasma concentrations of noradrenalin, adrenalin and prolactin.

Adrenergic control of the adaptive immune response by diurnal lymphocyte recirculation through lymph nodes

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Medicine, 2016
Suzuki et al. show that neural inputs to β2-adrenergic receptors expressed on lymphocytes generate the diurnal variation in the frequency of lymphocyte egress from lymph nodes, which is reflected in the magnitude of the adaptive immune response.

The insertion/deletion variation in the α2B-adrenoceptor does not seem to modify the risk for acute myocardial infarction, but may modify the risk for hypertension in sib-pairs from families with type 2 diabetes

open access: yesCardiovascular Diabetology, 2003
Background An insertion/deletion polymorphism in the α2B-adrenoceptor (AR) has been associated with the risk for acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and sudden cardiac death. In this study we tested whether this polymorphism is associated with the risk for

Biased, Bitopic, Opioid–Adrenergic Tethered Compounds May Improve Specificity, Lower Dosage and Enhance Agonist or Antagonist Function with Reduced Risk of Tolerance and Addiction

open access: yesPharmaceuticals, 2022
This paper proposes the design of combination opioid–adrenergic tethered compounds to enhance efficacy and specificity, lower dosage, increase duration of activity, decrease side effects, and reduce risk of developing tolerance and/or addiction ...
