R2 Corrections to the Jet Quenching Parameter

Advances in High Energy Physics, 2016
A calculation of R2 corrections to the jet quenching parameter from AdS/CFT correspondence is presented. It is shown that these corrections will increase or decrease the jet quenching parameter depending on the coefficients of the high curvature terms.

The quantization of a scalar field in Ads leads to two kinds of normalizable modes, usually called regular and irregular modes. The regular one is easily taken into account in the standard prescription for the AdS/CFT correspondence.
