AdS/CFT correspondence with heat conduction

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2007
We study an extension of the gravity dual to a perfect fluid model found by Janik and Peschanski. By relaxing one of the constraints, namely invariance under reflection in the longitudinal direction, we introduce a metric ansatz which includes off-diagonal terms. We also include an $R$-charge following Bak and Janik.

Barriers to Mental Health Service Use Among Older Adults: A Multistakeholder Qualitative Study in Southampton

open access: yesHealth &Social Care in the Community, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Older adults in the UK face significant challenges accessing mental health services, despite high levels of need. This study aimed to explore barriers to mental health service use among older adults in Southampton, drawing on perspectives from strategic stakeholders, frontline workers, older adults, and a family carer. We conducted in‐depth qualitative

Holographic fractional order phase transitions in CFTs dual to AdS black holes

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
In this work, we investigate the CFT phase transitions of various AdS black hole solutions including the Reissner–Nordström–AdS (RN-AdS) black hole, the ModMax-AdS black hole, and the RN-AdS black hole formulated within the framework of Kaniadakis ...

Holographic thermodynamics of a five-dimensional neutral Gauss–Bonnet AdS black hole

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
Motivated by the recent progress on the holographic dual of the extended thermodynamics for black holes in anti-de Sitter (AdS) space, we investigate the holographic thermodynamics for the five-dimensional neutral Gauss–Bonnet AdS black hole in the ...

Screening of quark–monopole in N=4 plasma

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2015
We study a quark–monopole bound system moving in N=4 SYM plasma with a constant velocity by the AdS/CFT correspondence. The screening length of this system is calculated, and it is smaller than that of the quark–antiquark bound state.

Holographic scattering and non-minimal RT surfaces

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
In the AdS/CFT correspondence, the causal structure of the bulk AdS spacetime is tied to entanglement in the dual CFT. This relationship is captured by the connected wedge theorem [1], which states that a bulk scattering process implies the existence of ...

Thermodynamic Volume in AdS/CFT

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
In this note, we study on extended thermodynamics of AdS black holes by varying cosmological constant. We found and discussed pressure and volume of both bulk and boundary physics through AdS/CFT correspondence.

D1-D5 CFT data from AdS 3 × S 3 Virasoro-Shapiro amplitude

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The AdS Virasoro-Shapiro amplitude has recently been generalized to the AdS3/CFT2 correspondence between type IIB string theory on AdS 3 × S 3 × K3 (or T 4), supported by Ramond-Ramond flux, and the D1-D5 CFT.
