Adult-Type Granulosa Cell Tumor of the Testis. Report of a Case

A new case of adult-type granulosa cell tumor of the testis in a 77-year-old man is reported. The patient was healthy and asymptomatic and only showed a discrete left hydrocele. The orchiectomy specimen showed the typical histology of this entity, with prominent nuclear grooving and Call-Exnerlike bodies as the main features.

We report a testicular gonadal stromal tumor with granulosa cell differentiation in a 54-year-old white man. The tumor was discovered by an ultrasound evaluation for left hydrocele.

Granulosa cell tumors are uncommon neoplasms that are characterized by their long natural history and for their tendency to recur years after an apparent clinical cure.
