Control of adventitious rooting in the alpine perennial Arabia alpina [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Successful adventitious root development ensures the efficient clonal propagation of alpine perennials under harsh environmental conditions, but the molecular basis of this process is not well understood.

Effect of extracts from SA-treated adventitious roots on UVB-induced expression in mouse skin cells.

open access: yes, 2013
UVB-exposed JB6 P+ cells that were stably transfected with plasmids containing the luciferase reporter gene fused to the COX-2 promoter (A), the AP-1 gene (B), or the NF- κB gene (C) were incubated with extract from 0, 500, 1000, or 2000 µM SA-treated ...

Nanofiber PVA‐Based Membranes Incorporating Functionalized Spanish Broom Derivatives for Sustainable Water Purification

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This study investigates Spanish broom (Spartium junceum) as a renewable source for electrospun composite membranes in sustainable water purification. MCC and biochar were functionalized with eco‐friendly precursors and nanomaterials (i.e., HNT, β‐CDs) to develop hybrid PVA nanofiber composites.

Response of Casuarina equisetifolia Blancon. seedlings to salinity-flooding stress [PDF]

open access: yesمجله جنگل ایران, 2015
Some growth characteristics of Casuarina equisetifolia seedlings affected by salinity-flooding stresses including 0 (freshwater), 50, 100, 150 mili-Molar NaCl and control (without flooding and salinity) treatments were studied in greenhouse as completely

Interplanar Potential Difference‐Mediated Efficient Charge Separation in SrLi2Ti6O14 Towards Optimized Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
The periodic quantum well formed by alternative stacking of SrO and LTO layers facilitates efficient photoinduced charge separation and thus significantly improves its photocatalytic hydrogen production performance. SrLi2Ti6O14 porous microspheres (SLTO PMSs) and SrLi2Ti6O14/TiO2 hollow sphere heterojunctions (SLTO/TiO2 HSs) are fabricated via ...

Chemically Modular, Nonfluorinated Polymer Adsorbents for Capturing Per‐ and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Nonfluorinated polymer networks for PFAS adsorption are synthesized using active ester click chemistry. Incorporating Lewis base ligands along with hydrophilic and hydrophobic co‐monomers leads to high PFOA binding efficiency. Ligand basicity and pH are found to play an important role in PFOA sorption.

Redox‐Active Bisphosphines Based on a W(II)‐Propargyl Complex Backbone

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Three bisphosphine ligands based on tungsten(II) propargyl‐type alkyne complexes were synthesized and characterized. The methanolate derivative was used as a metalla‐ligand for the preparation of a binuclear bisphosphine‐κ2‐PdCl2 complex. In both cases, IR spectroelectrochemistry (IR‐SEC) measurements revealed a successive process following oxidation ...
