Activation of SIRT1 Reduces Renal Tubular Epithelial Cells Fibrosis in Hypoxia Through SIRT1‐FoxO1‐FoxO3‐Autophagy Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
Hypoxia promotes the epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) of renal tubular epithelial cells via the SIRT1‐FoxO1‐FoxO3‐autophagy pathway, thereby resulting in the fibrosis of renal tubular epithelial cells. Activation of SIRT1 or induction of autophagy inhibits this process, alleviating hypoxia‐induced fibrosis.

An Attentive Sequence Model for Adverse Drug Event Extraction from Biomedical Text [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Adverse reaction caused by drugs is a potentially dangerous problem which may lead to mortality and morbidity in patients. Adverse Drug Event (ADE) extraction is a significant problem in biomedical research. We model ADE extraction as a Question-Answering problem and take inspiration from Machine Reading Comprehension (MRC) literature, to design our ...
