Effect of blood meals and mating on biodemographic characteristics of Aedes albopictus

Lifespan did not differ between virgin and mated males and females. The number of blood meals (one and two) significantly reduced adult lifespan compared with those with no blood meal. The effect of the second blood meal doubled females' egg production and their reproductive output.

Lippia umbellata Cav.: Chemical Composition, Insecticidal, and Antimicrobial Activities

Hexane extracts of Lippia umbellata leaves and flowers contain lupenone, α‐amyrin, and hentriacontane. They exhibit insecticidal activity against Drosophila melanogaster and inhibit AChE in vitro and in silico. Furthermore, the extracts can inhibit the growth of medically important bacteria and yeasts, including multidrug‐resistant strains.

The Unusual Coexistence of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, Dengue Fever, and Acute Kidney Injury: A Case Report

ABSTRACT A 70‐year‐old male with CLL presented with dengue fever complicated by AKI. A diagnostic challenge arose from overlapping features. Investigations showed leukocytosis, lymphocytosis, anemia, thrombocytopenia, positive Anti‐Dengue IgM, and renal impairment. Managed with supportive care, ibrutinib, and monitoring, with improvement.

Chitosan‐protected dsRNA increases efficacy against Helicoverpa armigera without compromising biosafety for pollinators

Chitosan/tripolyphosphate/double‐stranded RNA (dsRNA) nanoparticles enhance RNA interference efficacy of orally delivered dsRNA against Helicoverpa armigera. Nanoparticles reduce the LC50 and do not cause deleterious effects or toxicity on beneficial insects.
