Impact of yaw misalignment on turbine loads in the presence of wind farm blockage
Summary Wake steering is very effective in optimizing the power production of an array of turbines aligned with the wind direction. However, the wind farm behaves as a porous obstacle for the incoming flow, inducing a secondary flow in the lateral direction and a reduction of the upstream wind speed.

Wind Farm Layout Optimization Problem Using Nature‐Inspired Algorithms
The wind farm layout optimization problem (WFLOP) is a significant problem in the field of renewable energy. In this development of wind farm, solving the WFLOP is a crucial task, which entails placing the turbines in the wind farm in the best locations to reduce wake effects and enhance predicted power generation.

Static aeroelasticity of a composite oblique wing in transonic flows [PDF]
One aircraft configuration that shows great promise in achieving high performance is that of an asymmetrically swept wing. When compared to conventional swept wings, these advantages include higher lift to drag ratios and reduced takeoff and landing ...

Static and Dynamic Aeroelastic Tailoring with Variable Camber Control [PDF]
This paper examines the use of a variable-camber continuous trailing-edge flap system for aeroservoelastic optimization of a transport wing box, the Common Research Model. Along with patch-level structural wing-box design variables, the quasi-steady and unsteady motions of the flap system are used as design variables, for maneuver load alleviation ...
