Overview of organic–inorganic hybrid silica aerogels: Progress and perspectives
Silica aerogels are futuristic materials. However, the real-world applications of these materials are limited owing to their fragility. A variety of composite materials have been investigated to overcome this barrier.

Flexible Carbon Aerogels [PDF]
Carbon aerogels are highly porous materials with a large inner surface area. Due to their high electrical conductivity they are excellent electrode materials in supercapacitors. Their brittleness, however, imposes certain limitations in terms of applicability. In that context, novel carbon aerogels with varying degree of flexibility have been developed.

First evidence of anisotropic quenched disorder effects on a smectic liquid crystal confined in porous silicon [PDF]
We present a neutron scattering analysis of the structure of the smectic liquid crystal octylcyanobiphenyl (8CB) confined in one-dimensional nanopores of porous silicon films (PS). The smectic transition is completely suppressed, leading to the extension

A 3D nanowire‐network SERS substrate with robust adhesion is developed, featuring pronounced z‐direction optical activity, ultralow detection limit (1.5 × 10−13 M), and excellent signal uniformity (RSD < 10%). Enabled by enhanced light scattering, increased optical density of states, and structural reinforcement, the substrate demonstrates stable, high‐

Research progress on removal of pollutants from water by MOFs@aerogel adsorption
Compared with single MOFs, MOFs@aerogels have ultra-high specific surface area, high porosity, good polymer compatibility and excellent structural pores, which can efficiently adsorb and remove pollutants in water. This paper introduced the structure and
