DETECTION OF AEROMONAS HYDROPHILA IN RAW MILK AND SOME MILK PRODUCTS WITH REFERENCE TO ITS PUBLIC HEALTH HAZARD [PDF]
This study aimed to determine Aeromonas spp < /em>. in raw milk and some milk products. A total of 100 raw milk, kareish cheese, ice cream and baladi yoghurt (25 samples, each) were collected from different dairy shops and street peddlers in Assiut

Cytotoxic activity of Aeromonas hydrophila [PDF]
Most strains of Aeromonas hydrophila tested demonstrated cytotoxic activity on several tissue-cultured cell lines. The cytotoxin is heat-labile, non-dialyzable, and immunologically distinct from that of Shigella dysenteriae and Clostridium perfringens.

Meningitis due to Aeromonas hydrophila [PDF]
A case of meningitis caused by Aeromonas hydrophila is reported. The infection complicated an otherwise successful frontotemporal craniotomy. Survey of the literature revealed that human infections due to this organism are relatively uncommon, and its causal relationship in meningitis has not been previously reported. A.

SOME MICROBIOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS ON AEROMONAS HYDROPHILA GROUP IN OREOCHROMIS NILOTICUS AND CLARIAS LAZERA IN ASSIUT GOVERNORATE [PDF]
150 freshwater fishes including 100 (O. niloticus) and 50 (C. lazera) were collected from different fish markets of various sanitation levels at Assiut. The samples were examined for enumeration of Aeromonas hydrophila group. The obtained results pointed

Media for the isolation of Aeromonas hydrophila [PDF]
Isolation rates of Aeromonas hydrophila from stool samples of symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals were examined for several common enteric media. Sheep blood agar with 10 micrograms of ampicillin per ml, preceded by overnight enrichment in alkaline peptone water, yielded 2.6 times the number of isolates as the other media examined and is ...

Phospholipids and lipopolysaccharide of Aeromonas hydrophila [PDF]
The phospholipids and lipopolysaccharide of Aeromonas hydrophila were characterized. Phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylglycerol were the major phospholipid components. The outer membrane contained more phosphatidylethanolamine and less phosphatidylglycerol than the inner membrane, and the phospholipids of the outer membrane contained a higher ...
