Fully Printed Multilayer Flexible Structure for 3D Assembly on Irregular Substrates for Hybrid Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A fully printed multilayer flexible structure is manufactured by printing conductive silver‐flake traces and acrylic dielectric layers onto stretchable TPU. Selective and blade‐coated dielectric strategies are tested, with reliable insulation achieved only for the blade‐coated approach.

Determination of particulate matter vertical columns using satellite observations [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Measurement Techniques, 2009
A new technique to retrieve the particulate matter vertical columns from spaceborne observations is described. The method is based on the measurements of the spectral aerosol optical thickness (AOT).

Evaluation of Polarized Remote Sensing of Aerosol Optical Thickness Retrieval over China

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2015
The monitoring capability of a polarized instrument (POLDER) under high aerosol loading conditions over China is investigated. The aerosol optical thickness (AOT), which infers the aerosol burden, is used to measure the satellite monitoring capabilities.

Improved cloud and snow screening in MAIAC aerosol retrievals using spectral and spatial analysis [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Measurement Techniques, 2012
An improved cloud/snow screening technique in the Multi-Angle Implementation of Atmospheric Correction (MAIAC) algorithm is described. It is implemented as part of MAIAC aerosol retrievals based on analysis of spectral residuals and spatial variability ...

i‐Tac: Inverse Design of 3D‐Printed Tactile Elastomers with Tuneable Optical and Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Inspired by the multi‐tissue architecture of the human fingertip dermis (A), this work introduces a mixture design using three PolyJet materials (AC/TM/GM) to expand the achievable elastomer property space (B). An inverse design pipeline (i‐Tac) is developed to map target optical/mechanical requirements to optimal material compositions (C), enabling ...

Seasonal variability in the optical properties of Baltic aerosols

open access: yesOceanologia, 2011
A five-year dataset of spectral aerosol optical thickness was used to analyse the seasonal variability of aerosol optical properties (the aerosol opticalthickness (AOT) at wavelength λ=500 nm, AOT(500) and the Ångström exponent for ...
