PWM rectifier control comparison for aerospace applications [PDF]

open access: green7th IET International Conference on Power Electronics, Machines and Drives (PEMD 2014), 2014
High-voltage DC-bus power quality is examined when the power network is supplied by a PWM rectifier controlled using different DC-bus voltage regulation schemes. Three controllers are compared, a voltage oriented control and two model predictive control schemes, predictive current fixed frequency and predictive direct power control.

Hybrid Control For Aerospace Systems [PDF]

open access: green, 2019
Hybrid dynamical systems are dynamical systems in which continuous and discrete evolutions coexist and interact. Their twofold nature makes them particularly powerful for both describing and synthesizing complex dynamical behaviors. In this work we exploit this capability for designing innovative control and estimation algorithms that cope with ...

Active Vibration Control of a Large Flexible Appendage Using a Novel Joint Mechanism

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2022
With the evolution of space exploration, large flexible appendages have been developed in space structures. External perturbation or attitude maneuvering stimulates the vibration (low frequencies) of the aforementioned structures.

Active disturbance rejection control of drag-free satellites considering the effect of micro-propulsion noise

open access: yesiScience, 2023
Summary: The space gravitational wave detection mission requires a super ''static and precise'' scientific experiment environment. In order to solve the non-conservative force disturbance variation and the actuator noise and measurement noise, this paper

Analytical propagation on relative motion of geostationary earth orbit satellites with orbital perturbations

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications, 2023
An accurate description of the relative motion of satellites is critical for space missions in the complex geostationary earth orbit space environment. Here, a new relative motion model is established considering major perturbations.

Design and simulation of the accumulator for servomechanisms of launch vehicle

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2020
The accumulator is a crucial component of the hydraulic power for servomechanisms of the launch vehicle, which has a significant effect on the performance and the mass power. Traditional design methods are mostly based on empirical formulas, which do not

CONSTRUCTION AND TEST OF BIO-INSPIRED IMAGING POLARIZATION NAVIGATION PROTOTYPE [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2020
Bio-inspired polarization navigation is a promising navigation method inspired by insects’ autonomous foraging and homing behaviour. Many insects acquire their spatial orientation by sensing the polarization pattern of the skylight.

Driving and tilt‐hovering – An agile and manoeuvrable aerial vehicle with tiltable rotors

open access: yesIET Cyber-systems and Robotics, 2021
Driving and tilt‐hovering help unmanned aerial vehicles extend their time of operation and the visible range of the equipped sensors. Standard quadrotors are underactuated, whose translational and rotational motions are strongly coupled.
