Dimple‐Encoded Reprogrammable Origami

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Local snap‐through of bistable dimples turns flat elastic sheets into reprogrammable origami structures. Interaction‐guided dimple arrays act as angle‐programmable hinge bands, enabling one sheet to morph into distinct polygonal and three‐dimensional configurations while retaining stable shapes for deployable and protective functions.

Crosstalk Between CTSB+ Glioblastoma Cells and S100A10+ Macrophages: A Self‐Reinforcing Circuit Promotes Immune Evasion and Limits Response to Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In glioblastoma, M2‐polarized macrophages secrete IL‐6, which activates STAT3 signaling in tumor cells to upregulate CTSB. Tumor‐derived CTSB binds the C‐terminus of macrophage S100A10, reinforcing M2 polarization and further IL‐6 secretion, thereby establishing a feedforward IL‐6/STAT3/CTSB/S100A10 loop. This cascade drives tumor growth, invasion, and

Aerospace Pneumatic Control Systems

Journal of Engineering for Industry, 1963
This paper attempts to deduce the growth pattern of aerospace pneumatic control systems, where pneumatic systems are defined as those employing any gas as a working medium. Various important applications responsible for the initial growth of these systems, such as nuclear engine controls, space attitude controls, and flight controls, are illustrated by

Metallographic Control of Aerospace Components

1980
There have been many tragic air disasters occur in the aviation industry which, because of their nature, were highly publicized and created a strong public awareness of the need for aviation safety. “A chain is only as strong as its weakest link”; and so it goes for aircraft and their components.

National Achievements in Control Theory (The Aerospace Perspective)

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2004
Abstract It is well known that among the first motivations for modern control theory were dynamic optimization problems in rocket launching and navigation in aerospace. These problems had become especially important in the forties and fifties due to requirement to minimize various costly resources and design parameters, such as flight time, amount ...
