Oxygen Vacancy Defect Engineering for Transverse Thermoelectric Enhancement: a Novel Extrinsic Pathway beyond Intrinsic Approaches

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Transverse thermoelectric (TE) technology gains increasing attention as it enables efficient power generation within a single TE element and eliminates junctions. This study enhances transverse thermopower in polycrystalline Sr₃Co₄O₁₁₋δ through oxygen vacancy defect engineering, utilizing the anomalous Nernst effect to improve TE efficiency.

A Soft‐Soft Contact Triboelectric Nanogenerator with a Ternary Four‐Phase Structure for Self‐Powered High‐Efficiency Dust Removal on Mars

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The frequent dust storms and charged dust particles on Mars pose significant challenges to the power generation efficiency and service life of solar panels during exploration missions. This paper proposes a novel wind‐driven ternary four‐phase soft‐soft contact triboelectric nanogenerator (FPS‐TENG) for dust removal.

3D Self‐Supported Visible Light Photochemical Nanocatalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents 3D, self‐supported TiO2 nanogrids with enhanced visible‐light photocatalytic efficiency due to Cu doping and the presence of anatase and brookite phases. These nanogrids outperform P25 Degussa, operate under natural sunlight, and eliminate nanoparticle filtration, making them highly effective for environmental and energy ...
