Affine Tensor Product Model Transformation

open access: yesComplexity, 2018
This paper introduces the novel concept of Affine Tensor Product (TP) Model and the corresponding model transformation algorithm. Affine TP Model is a unique representation of Linear Parameter Varying systems with advantageous properties that makes it ...

On the Affine Image of a Rational Surface of Revolution

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
We study the properties of the image of a rational surface of revolution under a nonsingular affine mapping. We prove that this image has a notable property, namely that all the affine normal lines, a concept that appears in the context of affine ...

On Affine Transformations of a Riemannian Manifold [PDF]

open access: yesNagoya Mathematical Journal, 1955
In this paper we establish some theorems about the group of affine transformations on a Riemannian manifold. First we prove a decomposition theorem (Theorem 1) of the largest connected group of affine transformations on a simply connected complete Riemannian manifold, which corresponds to the decomposition theorem of de Rham [4] for the manifold.

FoxO1 signaling in B cell malignancies and its therapeutic targeting

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FoxO1 has context‐specific tumor suppressor or oncogenic character in myeloid and B cell malignancies. This includes tumor‐promoting properties such as stemness maintenance and DNA damage tolerance in acute leukemias, or regulation of cell proliferation and survival, or migration in mature B cell malignancies.

On the Group of Affine Transformations of an Affinely Connected Manifold [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1953
It has been proved by S. Myers and N. Steenrod that the group of all isometries of a Riemannian manifold is a Lie group.2 The purpose of the present note is to establish a similar theorem f6r the group of all affine transformations of an affinely connected manifold under the assumption of "completeness" which will be explained below.

Insights into PI3K/AKT signaling in B cell development and chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Review explores how the phosphoinositide 3‐kinase and protein kinase B pathway shapes B cell development and drives chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a common blood cancer. It examines how signaling levels affect disease progression, addresses treatment challenges, and introduces novel experimental strategies to improve therapies and patient outcomes.

The cytoskeletal control of B cell receptor and integrin signaling in normal B cells and chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In lymphoid organs, antigen recognition and B cell receptor signaling rely on integrins and the cytoskeleton. Integrins act as mechanoreceptors, couple B cell receptor activation to cytoskeletal remodeling, and support immune synapse formation as well as antigen extraction.

Affine Shape Comparison using Different Distances

open access: yesJOIV: International Journal on Informatics Visualization, 2020
In this work, we propose to compare affine shape using Hausdorff distance (HD), Dynamic Time Warping (DTW), Frechet (DF), and Earth Mover distance (EMD).

Confinement-induced columnar crystals of ellipses

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2021
Densest-packed structures of identical ellipses within a parallel strip have been obtained through Monte Carlo simulations and analytic derivations. Each of such structures is an affine transformation of a particular densest-packed structure of identical

Decoding the dual role of autophagy in cancer through transcriptional and epigenetic regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Transcriptional and epigenetic regulation controls autophagy, which exerts context‐dependent effects on cancer: Autophagy suppresses tumorigenesis by maintaining cellular homeostasis or promotes tumor progression by supporting survival under stress. In this “In a Nutshell” article, we explore the intricate mechanisms of the dual function of autophagy ...
