GRB 050713A: High Energy Observations of the GRB Prompt and Afterglow Emission

open access: yes, 2006
Swift discovered GRB 050713A and slewed promptly to begin observing with its narrow field instruments 72.6 seconds after the burst onset, while the prompt gamma-ray emission was still detectable in the BAT.

Garnet‐Structured Near‐Infrared Luminescent Materials: Luminescence Fundamentals, Regulation and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
This review presents the near‐infrared luminescence properties and regulation methods of transition metal ions (Cr3+, Fe3+, and Ni2+) and rare earth ions (Eu2+ and Yb3+) in garnet‐structured phosphors, and discusses their future development opportunities and challenges.

Diverse Temporal Properties of GRB Afterglow

open access: yes, 1998
The detection of delayed X-ray, optical and radio emission, "afterglow", associated with $\gamma$-ray bursts (GRBs) is consistent with fireball models, where the emission are produced by relativistic expanding blast wave, driven by expanding fireball at ...

Enhancement of the Persistent Luminescence of SrAl2O4:Eu, Dy Ceramics Through Incorporation of Ag and Au Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
Enhanced persistent luminescence of consolidated ceramic substrates done by hot isostatic pressing based on SrAl2O4: Eu, Dy by incorporation of Ag and Au nanoparticles. Persistent luminescent materials are essential for advancing energy‐efficient lighting, bioimaging, and sensing technologies.

Decay of metastable atoms in the afterglow of single-electrode breakdown

open access: yesPhysics of Complex Systems
This paper deals with experimental studies of ionization waves igniting the breakdown in long discharge tubes in neon at low pressures. Ionization waves were produced by rectangular voltage pulses applied to the high-voltage electrode of the discharge ...

Reinterpretation of the Photoluminescence and Long Persistent Luminescence of Pristine Hexagonal and Cubic CsCdCl3 and with Mn2+ and Fe3+ Doping

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
The electronic spectra, luminescence decay measurements at room temperature and 77 K, and persistent luminescence have been recorded for pristine hexagonal and cubic CsCdCl3 and for this material doped with Mn2+ or Fe3+. First‐principles calculations have been performed in order to rationalize the results.
