A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis of the Epidemiology of Bovine Herpesvirus 1 Infection in Dairy Cattle in Ethiopia

This systematic review and meta‐analysis summarise the epidemiology of bovine herpesvirus‐1 (BoHV‐1) infection in dairy cattle in Ethiopia. Analysis of 9 studies involving 5078 cattle revealed a high pooled seroprevalence of 46.02%, with higher estimates from c‐ELISA and an increasing temporal trend from 2018 to 2025.

Risk Factors for and Prevalence of Failure of Passive Transfer of Immunity in Calves on Dairy Farms in Türkiye

The prevalence of FPTI in this study was similar to reports internationally. This research shows that there were both modifiable and non‐modifiable significant risk factors for FPTI in Türkiye dairy herds, specifically colostrum feeding method and season of birth and herd size, dam parity and calf breed.

Trends in Veterinary Drug Residues in US Cattle: Analysing USDA Sampling Data

National US residue monitoring data (2021–2023) were analysed to characterise veterinary drug residue detections in cattle. Detection patterns varied by cattle type, with dairy cows accounting for the highest number of detections and a consistent group of commonly used drugs responsible for most violative and non‐violative findings.
