Probing the parameter space of HD 49933: a comparison between global and local methods
We present two independent methods for studying the global stellar parameter space (mass M, age, initial chemical composition X_0, Z_0) of HD 49933 with seismic data.

Body composition variations in ageing.
Age-related physiological variations of body composition concern both the fat-free mass (FFM) and the fat mass (FM). These variations expose the elderly person to the risk of malnutrition and could lead to conditions of disability. This paper aims to review the current state of knowledge on body composition in the aged population.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

A pilot study of temsirolimus and body composition. [PDF]
PurposeBody weight and composition play a role in cancer etiology, prognosis, and treatment response. Therefore, we analyzed the weight, body composition changes, and outcome in patients treated with temsirolimus, an mTor inhibitor that has weight loss ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Composition of cerebroside acids as a function of age
The brains of from 11 to 30 rats of various age groups—23 to 418 days old—were pooled and analyzed for total lipids, total cerebrosides, and the individual cerebroside acids.

Effect of planet ingestion on low-mass stars evolution: the case of 2MASS J08095427--4721419 star in the Gamma Velorum cluster [PDF]
We analysed the effects of planet ingestion on the characteristics of a pre-MS star similar to the Gamma Velorum cluster member 2MASS J08095427--4721419 (#52).

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
