Agency Theory Reconsidered [PDF]
Auslegung: a Journal of Philosophy, 1988 In this article, we briefly outline and explain Roderick Chisholm's theory of agent causation, critically evaluate certain criticisms of it advanced by Harry Frankfurt, Clifford Williams and Irving Thalberg, and show that the theory can be improved by elaborating it in two ways, one of which is suggested by the work of Richard Taylor.
