Agent-Based Social Simulations
2014We start with a brief introduction to complex systems. Then we briefly review the so-called cellular automata, of which the Game of Life is just one fascinating example. After that we shift attention towards a special kind of computational models called agent-based models, that can be seen as natural extensions of cellular automata.

In the agent-based simulation study, the basic concept is to model the acceptance and implementation of supplier innovations by first describing simple rules of behavior for the different types of agents and then aggregating these rules. In particular, the case study results are used to set the agents’ rules of behavior.
