Chloroplast Agglutination Test

1998
The chloroplast agglutination test, used for diagnosis and detection of viruses, is simple but not very sensitive. It is most effective for viruses with elongate particles, such as tobamo-, carla- and potexviruses, which usually occur in high concentrations in the plant.

Agglutination test with ragweed pollen

Journal of Allergy, 1966
Abstract An agglutination test was devised to study ragweed pollen grains. Rabbit antiragweed sera were shown to contain "complete" antibodies causing clumping and increased sedimentation of ragweed pollen and "incomplete" antibodies detectable by means of the indirect Coombs test. With human sera, only the indirect Coombs test was positive. The human

Simultaneous Agglutination Tests with Human Antiglobulins

Vox Sanguinis, 1969
Summary. Simultaneous agglutination tests have been performed with several non‐inhibitable antiglobulins and with several antiglobulins detected by screening with anti‐D Ri. coats. The latter are similar to non‐inhibitable antiglobdins in that they give a positive simultaneous agglutination test but their positive reaction can be inhibited by high ...

A Direct Agglutination Test for Leishmaniasis

The American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, 1975
Antigen suspensions of enzyme-treated, formalin-fixed promastigotes of three species of Leishmania (L. donovani, L. tropica, and L. braziliensis) were evaluated by using the direct agglutination test with serum samples from healthy individuals and patients with confirmed cases of visceral and cutaneous leishmaniasis.

Latex agglutination test for canine parvovirus

Australian Veterinary Journal, 1996
SUMMARYCanine parvovirus (CPV) was detected in faeces from dogs with diarrhoea by a specific slide agglutination test using latex particles coated with anti‐CPV monoclonal antibody (LA‐anti‐CPV). The agglutination of LA‐anti‐CPV with CPV on a glass slide was evident macroscopically within 2 min.

Direct agglutination test for Encephalitozoon cuniculi

Veterinary Parasitology, 2006
Encephalitozoon cuniculi is a small protozoan parasite in the phylum Microspora. It has been shown to naturally infect several host species, including humans. Infection with microsporidia is usually asymptomatic, except in young or immunocompromised hosts.

LATEX AGGLUTINATION TEST FOR INVASIVE AMŒBIASIS

The Lancet, 1970
Abstract A simple and rapid latex agglutination test as an aid to the diagnosis of invasive amœbiasis has been evaluated in five groups of 100 individuals from an endemic area. Results were positive in 98 patients with amœbic liver abscess, in 96 with amœbic dysentery, in 15 African general medical patients, and 5 African blood-donors, but not in any ...

Column agglutination technology: the antiglobulin test

Transfusion, 1993
A new system for typing and screening blood, based on the sieving effect of glass bead microparticles, has been developed. The test is performed in a microcolumn in which the red cell agglutinates are trapped in the glass bead matrix during centrifugation, and unagglutinated cells form a pellet at the bottom of the column.

A ROTAVIRUS STAPHYLOCOCCAL CO‐AGGLUTINATION TEST

Acta Pathologica Microbiologica Scandinavica Series B: Microbiology, 1983
A simple and rapid staphylococcal co‐agglutination (SA) test for detection of rotavirus in human faecal specimens is described. A suspension of protein A‐containing staphylococci coated with a rabbit hyperimmune serum against the rotavirus strain of calf diarrhoeae virus was used as reagent. Before the SA test, the faecal specimens were absorbed with a
