A Direct Agglutination Test for Leishmaniasis
The American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, 1975Antigen suspensions of enzyme-treated, formalin-fixed promastigotes of three species of Leishmania (L. donovani, L. tropica, and L. braziliensis) were evaluated by using the direct agglutination test with serum samples from healthy individuals and patients with confirmed cases of visceral and cutaneous leishmaniasis.

Latex Agglutination Test in Uveitis
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1960In 1922, Meyer 1 reported that the serums of certain patients with rheumatoid arthritis agglutinated sensitized sheep erythrocytes. In 1931, Cecil, Nicholls, and Stainsby 2 observed the agglutination of β-hemolytic streptococci by the serum of certain patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis.

The utility of two latex agglutination tests in detecting antigenemia in patients with invasive candidiasis was studied. To perform one test, we treated sera with protease and heat to free mannan from antibodies to mannan.

An evaluation of the tuberculosis agglutination test
British Journal of Diseases of the Chest, 1978The tuberculosis agglutination titre as described by Nicholls (1975) was measured without prior knowledge of the diagnosis in 27 patients with open pulmonary tuberculosis, 100 patients with other diseases and 14 control patients with no apparent disease. Reproducibility of the test, as judged by repeat estimations on split samples, was poor.

Agglutination test with ragweed pollen
Journal of Allergy, 1966Abstract An agglutination test was devised to study ragweed pollen grains. Rabbit antiragweed sera were shown to contain "complete" antibodies causing clumping and increased sedimentation of ragweed pollen and "incomplete" antibodies detectable by means of the indirect Coombs test. With human sera, only the indirect Coombs test was positive. The human

Improving agglutination tests by working in microfluidic channels.
Lab on a Chip, 2005Latex agglutination tests are used for the diagnosis of diseases in man and animals. They are generally simple, cheap, and do not require sophisticated equipment, nor highly specialized skills.

Chloroplast Agglutination Test
1998The chloroplast agglutination test, used for diagnosis and detection of viruses, is simple but not very sensitive. It is most effective for viruses with elongate particles, such as tobamo-, carla- and potexviruses, which usually occur in high concentrations in the plant.

A Babesiasis Card Agglutination Test
American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1974SUMMARY A babesiasis card agglutination test (bct) has been developed for detecting specific antibodies in cattle infected with Babesia bigemina. The agglutinating antigen was isolated from the blood of a splenectomized calf having 22% B bigemina parasitemia. The antigen was preserved with 0.02% formalin and stained with fast green dye.
