Aggregate price shocks and financial stability: the United Kingdom 1796-1999 [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper investigates the impact historically of aggregate price shocks on financial stability in the United Kingdom. We construct an annual index of U.K.

Soil microbial parameters and stability of soil aggregate fractions under different grassland communities on the Loess Plateau, China

open access: yes, 2009
Over-grazing and large-scale monocultures on the Loess plateau in China have caused serious soil erosion by water and wind. Grassland revegetation has been reported as one of the most effective counter measures.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

A study on soil aggregate stability and splash erosion under exogenous electrolyte conditions in the karst region of Southwest China

open access: yesJournal of Hydrology: Regional Studies
Study area: Karst region in Guangxi Province, Southwest China. Study focus: Both soil properties and rainfall characteristics have a critical influence on splash erosion and aggregate stability.

Aggregate stability response to freeze-thaw cycles [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Research has suggested that 1 to 3 freeze-thaw cycles (FTCs) may increase the stability of soil aggregates, when field-moist aggregates are wet sieved.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Soil physical structure and aggregate stability dynamics during pit-mound microrelief development

open access: yesTrees, Forests and People
Tree uprooting is a prevalent natural disturbance in primary forests, creating pit-mound microrelief that initiates a natural chronosequence of soil recovery.
