DIVERGENCE MEASURES AND AGGREGATION OPERATIONS
International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, 2000In this paper we study the relations between divergence measures of two fuzzy sets and other well-known functions, namely aggregation operations and measures of fuzziness. We will show that these functions can be related. Therefore, we study some consequences of these properties as an application; indeed, we obtain some special cases of divergence ...

Weak uninorm aggregation operators
Information Sciences, 2000By weakening the identity condition for uninorms, a general class of associative aggregation operators, called weak uninorms, is introduced. It is proved that a continuous weak uninorm is a combination of a continuous t-norm and a continuous t-conorm through a median operator.

Associative identity aggregation operators
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1999Abstract By weakening the identity condition of uninorm, a general class of associative identity aggregation operators called weak uninorm is introduced. It is proved that continuous weak uninorms are the combination of continuous t-norm and continuous t-conorm through median operator.

Linguistic Aggregation Operators
2012When a problem is solved using linguistic information, it implies the need for computing with words (Zadeh and Kacprzyk, 1999a; 1999b). Thus, how to fuse the input linguistic information is an interesting and important research topic. Linguistic aggregation operators are a powerful tool to deal with linguistic information.

Range-Aggregate Queries Involving Geometric Aggregation Operations
2011In this paper we consider range-aggregate query problems wherein we wish to preprocess a set S of geometric objects such that given a query orthogonal range q, a certain aggregation function on the objects S′ = S ∩ q can be answered efficiently. Range-aggregate version of point enclosure queries, 1-d segment intersection, 2-d orthogonal segment ...

Aggregation of Information and Aggregation Operators
2013Huge amount of information one meets nowadays in a lot of areas of human activity makes information aggregation an extremely important and challenging issue. This chapter presents aggregation operators, a formal tool for aggregation of numerical information. Main types and properties of those operators will be discussed.
