Aggregation Operators and Commuting [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, 2007
Commuting is an important property in any two-step information merging procedure where the results should not depend on the order in which the single steps are performed. We investigate the property of commuting for aggregation operators in connection with their relationship to bisymmetry.

Hierarchies of aggregation operators

International Journal of Intelligent Systems, 1994
This article deals with hierarchies of operators. In particular, we will analyze the problem of amalgamating individual opinions into a single group opinion, based upon hierarchical intensity aggregation rules. Our main goal is to decide whether hierarchical amalgamations are supported from an ethical and rational point of view.
