Improving PARP inhibitor efficacy in bladder cancer without genetic BRCAness by combination with PLX51107

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Penyesuaian Keluarga, Pengasuhan, Kekerasan dalam Pengasuhan, dan Agresivitas pada Anak Usia Sekolah

open access: yesJurnal Ilmu Keluarga dan Konsumen, 2018

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

Partitioning aggression [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 2018
Have aggression and violence been ramped up in human evolution or dialed down? This sounds like a question that empirical research might have settled long ago, but it remains strangely contentious. In PNAS, Richard Wrangham (1) proposes that debates persist because too many evolutionary anthropologists mistakenly conceive of aggression as unitary and ...

Molecular characterisation of human penile carcinoma and generation of paired epithelial primary cell lines

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Generation of two normal and tumour (cancerous) paired human cell lines using an established tissue culture technique and their characterisation is described. Cell lines were characterised at cellular, protein, chromosome and gene expression levels and for HPV status.

Aggressive Angiomyxoma

open access: yesIndian Dermatology Online Journal, 2014
Myxoid tumors are a heterogeneous group of lesions characterized by a marked abundance of extra cellular mucoid (myxoid) matrix.[1] The term aggressive emphasizes the often infiltrative nature of the tumor and its frequent association with recurrence.[2] A case of aggressive angiomyxoma arising from the vagina in a 55-year-old woman is reported for its

Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Order Submission Strategies and Information: Empirical Evidence from the NYSE [PDF]

open access: yes
We investigate the role of asymmetric information in affecting order submission strategies. Order aggressiveness depends on the state of the order book and on the asset dynamics. We find that the most important determinants are the depth on the same side
