Robust and Agile Quadrotor Flight via Adaptive Unwinding-Free Quaternion Sliding-Mode Control
This paper presents a new adaptive sliding mode control (SMC) framework for quadrotors that achieves robust and agile flight under tight computational constraints. The proposed controller addresses key limitations of prior SMC formulations, including (i) the slow convergence and almost-global stability of $\mathrm{SO(3)}$-based methods, (ii) the ...

Magnetic soft robots offer promise in biomedicine due to their wireless actuation and rapid response, but current fabrication methods are complex and have limited cellular compatibility. A new, contactless bioassembly strategy using hydrodynamic instabilities is introduced, enabling customizable, centimeter‐scale robots.

Social interaction, team tacit knowledge and transactive memory: empirical support for the agile approach [PDF]
The agile principles of social interaction and tacit knowledge were examined in this survey study of 48 software development teams. It was proposed that that team tacit knowledge is created through frequency and quality of social interactions and through

A digital twin framework is presented for modular soft continuum arms built from fiber‐reinforced pneumatic actuators. Cosserat rod models describe individual actuators, while virtual assemblies are formed through serial and parallel networks, preserving actuator‐level architecture and arm deformation.

Designing Wire Mazes for Replicating Natural Echoes to Study Bat Biosonar Function
A validated framework combining efficient physical modeling (multiple scattering model) and deep learning is presented to guide wire‐maze design for bat biosonar studies. This approach rapidly generates large datasets to test acoustic distinguishability among wire arrangements.

Bistable Insect‐Scale Jumpers with Tunable Energy Barriers for Multimodal Locomotion
Drawing inspiration from the jumping mechanisms of insects (e.g., click beetles), bistable structures can convert slow deformations of soft actuating material into fast jumping motions (i.e., power amplification).
