Programmable Wide‐Spectrum Complex Microcavity Laser Controlled by Liquid Crystal Elastomer Braking Mechanism

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
A nematic liquid crystal elastomer (LCE) exhibiting dynamic laser oscillation behavior modulated by mechanical stretching and contraction is synthesized. This study investigates the influence of liquid crystal elastomer deformation characteristics on multidimensional complex microcavity laser systems.

Group Maturity and Agility, Are They Connected? - A Survey Study [PDF]

open access: yes41st Euromicro Conference on Software Engineering and Advanced Applications (SEAA), 2015, 2019
The focus on psychology has increased within software engineering due to the project management innovation "agile development processes". The agile methods do not explicitly consider group development aspects; they simply assume what is described in group psychology as mature groups. This study was conducted with 45 employees and their twelve managers (

Rapid and Ultra‐Sensitive SARS‐CoV‐2 Subgenomic RNA Detection Using Single‐Molecule With a Large Transistor‐SiMoT Bioelectronic Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The single‐molecule with a large transistor‐SiMoT is proposed for the detection of the subgenomic RNA of SARS‐CoV‐2, achieving a diagnostic sensitivity of 98.0% and a specificity of 87.8%. The SiMoT technology, currently at TRL‐5, is suitable for point‐of‐care settings and delivers the result to the end user in 30 min.

A Multi-dimensional Study of Requirements Changes in Agile Software Development Projects [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Agile processes are now widely practiced by software engineering (SE) teams, and the agile manifesto claims that agile methods support responding to changes well. However, no study appears to have researched whether this is accurate in reality. Requirements changes (RCs) are inevitable in any software development environment, and we wanted to acquire a

Joint Situational Assessment‐Hierarchical Decision‐Making Framework for Maneuver Intent Decisions

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study introduces a new framework for decision‐making in unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs), integrating graph convolutional networks and hierarchical reinforcement learning (HRL). The method tackles adopts a curriculum‐based training approach guided by cross‐entropy rewards.
