NOx Production via an Atmospheric Microwave Air Plasma Torch

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, EarlyView.
In order to accommodate the growing need of fertilizers, reduce their waste, production costs of precursors and strive towards climate neutrality, the synthesis of NOx by means of a microwave plasma torch has been investigated. The atmospheric pressure reactor, operated on air, allows for a flexible, on‐demand production even in‐loco at low costs ...

Toward 3D‐Bioprinted Models of the Liver to Boost Drug Development

open access: yesMacromolecular Bioscience, Volume 22, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
During preclinical studies, bidimensional in vitro models and animal models are synergically exploited to forecast safety and efficacy. 3D‐bioprinting is exploited to produce complex in vitro models, able to mimic physiological and pathological conditions, thus aiming to overcome the conventional paradigm.

Exploring the concept of a responsive curriculum in teacher education from the perspective of students and teacher educators

open access: yesThe Curriculum Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Economic, social and environmental changes place high demands on teachers and teacher education. Consequently, teacher education is challenged to design curricula that respond to and anticipate changes. Curricula are value‐driven and even though part of these values might be constant, the relative importance of values and the values themselves

Orbital electrowetting for versatile droplet maneuvering on slippery surfaces

open access: yesDroplet, EarlyView.
Here, we propose the use of orbital electrowetting (OEW) on slippery surfaces to enable versatile droplet maneuvering under a variety of conditions. The asymmetric electrowetting force that is generated allows highly efficient droplet manipulation on these surfaces.
