Molecular Modification of AgNPs Synthetic Protein and Characterization of Synthetic AgNPs

Nano, 2023
Nanosilver (AgNPs) exhibit a wide range of potential uses in the optical, antibacterial, and catalytic fields, and biologically produced AgNPs have a number of benefits. Our lab earlier identified the Lysinibacillus sphaericus protein NA33, which is involved in the synthesis of AgNPs.

AgNPs-incorporated nanofiber mats: Relationship between AgNPs size/content, silver release, cytotoxicity, and antibacterial activity

Materials Science and Engineering: C, 2021
Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) have a wide antimicrobial spectrum and low incidence of resistance. They have been widely incorporated into wound dressings for antimicrobial purpose. However, these wound dressings suffer from the accompanied cytotoxicity.

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering from AgNP–graphene–AgNP sandwiched nanostructures

Nanoscale, 2015
We developed a facile approach toward hybrid AgNP-graphene-AgNP sandwiched structures using self-organized monolayered AgNPs from wet chemical synthesis for the optimized enhancement of the Raman response of monolayer graphene. We demonstrate that the Raman scattering of graphene can be enhanced 530 fold in the hybrid structure.

Antibacterial AgNPs/CaP biocomposites

2014 9th International Forum on Strategic Technology (IFOST), 2014
The modification of implant surface is in the focus of many scientists worldwide. In this study, multifunctional biocomposite on the basis of calcium phosphate coating and silver nanoparticles has been fabricated through the use of nanofabrication techniques. Dense nanocrystalline HA film was deposited over AgNPs. The properties as well as the in vitro

AgNPs/PVA and AgNPs/(PVA/PEI) hybrids: preparation, morphology and antibacterial activity

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 2013
Two strategies are demonstrated to fabricate AgNPs/PVA and AgNPs/(PVA/PEI) nanofibre hybrids. In the first approach, we synthesized AgNPs in poly(vinylalcohol) (PVA) solution and then electrospun the AgNPs/PVA solution into the AgNPs/PVA nanofibres. In the other one, the polyethylenimine (PEI) was introduced to improve the water-stability of PVA and ...

WATERSHEDSS GRASS-AGNPS MODEL TOOL

Transactions of the ASAE, 1997
A modeling tool that utilizes a raster-based geographic information system to build an input file for the spatially distributed pollutant runoff model, AGNPS, was developed as a component of the WATERSHEDSS decision support system. In addition to automatically computing input data from basic soils, topography, and land use maps, this modeling tool ...

Transport of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) in soil

Chemosphere, 2012
The effect of soil properties on the transport of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) was studied in a set of laboratory column experiments, using different combinations of size fractions of a Mediterranean sandy clay soil. The AgNPs with average size of ~30nm yielded a stable suspension in water with zeta potential of -39mV.
