Photothermal Macroporous Lignin Cryogels for Off‐Grid, Continuous Atmospheric Water Collection via Interlayer Heat Recovery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Photothermal, macroporous lignin‐based cryogels are engineered to convert sunlight into low‐grade heat. Integrated as stacked beds in a drum‐type device, a thin copper interlayer transfers waste heat between beds, enabling interlayer heat recovery and continuous solar cycling.

La forêt des convoitises : cent ans de politiques sociales, libérales et environnementales dans les Parcs nationaux du Mexique (1910-2013)

open access: yesVertigO, 2015
Mexico’s agrarian and forest history established an original forestry land tenure system based upon social property. Mexican National Parks have a unique place in North America where such protected areas have more commonly been under a strict and sole ...

Laser‐Welded Cellulose‐Carbon Nanotube Nanocomposites as a 3D Scaffold of Si Anodes for High‐Performance Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A Si anode comprising entangled networks of cellulose and SWCNT (C‐CNT) nanocomposites as an anode electrode for a high‐performance LIB is realized by fully utilizing the generated microstructure of a novel conductive 3D scaffold via a low‐temperature and eco‐friendly process. Additionally, localized heating via photo‐thermal conversion can be utilized

Evolution of Agrarian Research and Development in Bulgaria During Country’s EU Membership [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2019
Despite the great theoretical and practical significance, in Bulgaria there are no comprehensive analysis of the state and evolution of agrarian research and development (ARD) activities. The goal of this paper is to analyze the state and evolution of ARD in Bulgaria during the period after country’s EU accession in 2007, identify major trends in that ...

Dense Nanofibrillar Collagen–Silica Hybrids with High Strength and ECM‐Mimetic Tissue Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dense nanofibrillar collagen–silica hybrids are engineered by synchronizing collagen fibrillogenesis with silica condensation, producing printable scaffolds that unexpectedly approach native extracellular matrix organization and strength. These cell‐free constructs guide endogenous cell‐infiltration, enable localized matrix remodeling, and integrate ...

Age and origin of closed depressions in the Paris Basin: A majority of marl pits dug since the Neolithic period?

open access: yesGeoderma
Marling (limestone alkaline amendment) agrarian practices have a plurimillennial influence on soil pH and on soil-associated ecosystems. Although the earliest written records in Europe date back to antiquity, the origin of this agrarian practice is not ...

Dual‐Interface‐Dominant Cathode Architectures Enabling Fast Sulfur Redox and Stable Interfaces in All‐Solid‐State Li‐S Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An optimized carbon host nanostructure enables a dual‐interface‐dominant architecture in sulfur cathodes of solid‐state Li‐S batteries by selectively forming sulfur|carbon and sulfur|solid electrolyte interfaces. This tailored interfacial configuration accelerates sulfur redox kinetics by establishing enriched Li+/e– transport networks, while ...
