The Material Handling System (MHS) in a manufacturing setting plays an important role in the performance of the entire system. Inadequately designed MHSs can interfere with the overall performance of the manufacturing system and lead to substantial losses in productivity and competitiveness, and to unacceptably long lead times.

The objective of this research is to subject the 'AGV' Electric Vehicle to a number of tests as specified in a dedicated test program. Vehicle performance is evaluated and various signals are validated. The tests consist of a part performed in lab conditions on a test bench where quantities like wheel torque, speed, etc.
