AHR Sequencing of pcDNA-AHR

open access: yes
Human AHR nucleic acid sequences were obtained from NCBI and primers were designed on Snapgene based on Nhe I and Hind III upstream and downstream digestion sites (Supplementary table 2). Total RNA from THP-1 cells was extracted using R401-01, and cDNA was synthesized using HiScript II 1st Strand cDNA Synthesis Kit (+gDNA wiper).

Immunometabolic and Spatiotemporal Control of Tissue‐Resident Memory T Cell Biology

open access: yesBarrier Immunity, EarlyView.
Tissue‐resident memory T (TRM) cells in barrier tissues provide a frontline defense against invading pathogens. Immune (Signals 1–3) and nutrient (Signal 4) cues play an integral role in directing TRM formation and heterogeneity. The spatial and temporal organization of these signals establishes durable TRM cells across tissues, enabling diverse ...

Incident heart failure: comparing management and outcome in primary and hospital settings in Western Sweden 2008–2017

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 832-838, April 2025.
Abstract Aim Heart failure (HF) is a highly prevalent condition managed in both primary care (PC) and hospital care (HC)‐based settings. HF patients managed in these two settings may differ in their demography, comorbidities and outcomes, so we aimed to compare the patient management in PC and HC in the Västra Götaland Region (VGR) in Sweden.

Sex‐specific elevated incidence of glaucoma associated with topiramate versus valproate or lamotrigine in epilepsy, not migraine: A population‐based cohort study

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Topiramate has been linked to increased glaucoma risk, potentially through mechanisms involving ocular fluid shifts. However, comparative risks vs other antiseizure medications (ASMs) and variation by sex or indication remain uncertain.

Short-term effects of wildfire-specific fine particulate matter and its carbonaceous components on perinatal outcomes: A multicentre cohort study in New South Wales, Australia

open access: yesEnvironment International
Background: Epidemiological evidence on the association between wildfire-specific fine particulate matter (PM2.5) and its carbonaceous components with perinatal outcomes is limited. We aimed to examine the short-term effects of wildfire-specific PM2.5 and

Interkingdom Interactions in the Gut: Ecological Mechanisms, Homeostasis, and Therapeutic Modulation

open access: yesGut Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The gut microbiota constitutes a highly complex and dynamic ecosystem that profoundly influences host physiology, metabolism, and immunity. This review provides an integrative overview of the mechanisms through which gut microorganisms—particularly bacteria and fungi—interact with host cells and with each other to maintain intestinal ...
