In situ and localized primary invasive pregnancy‐associated melanoma: Maternal and perinatal outcomes

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EarlyView.
Pregnancy‐associated melanoma (PAM) is melanoma diagnosed during pregnancy or 12 months postpartum. A population‐based retrospective cohort study in New South Wales, Australia was performed. Findings highlight that clinicians can reassure women with in situ or invasive PAM to expect similar long‐term survival and perinatal outcomes to non‐pregnant ...

Biomarkers for therapeutic response and adverse outcomes in atopic dermatitis: A systematic review

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EarlyView.
This review assessed 52 biomarkers predicting systemic therapy response and adverse events in atopic dermatitis. Most studies focused on dupilumab, and findings were inconsistent. IgE and eosinophils were largely non‐predictive, though elevated eosinophils and LDH sometimes indicated poorer outcomes.

Microscopic colitis and primary sclerosing cholangitis are bidirectionally associated: A nationwide matched cohort and case–control study

open access: yesJournal of Internal Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Microscopic colitis (MC) is an inflammatory disease of the colon. Although there is a known association between inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), evidence linking MC and PSC remains scarce. We aimed to investigate the bidirectional association between MC and PSC.

Dental Implant Rehabilitation Mitigates the Increased Mortality Risk Associated With Tooth Loss: A Population‐Based Study

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, EarlyView.
Fewer posterior masticatory units (PMUs) are associated with higher mortality, partly explained by diet quality. This association is attenuated by posterior prosthetic rehabilitation and is no longer evident when ≥ 5 PMUs are restored with implant‐supported prostheses. ABSTRACT Aim To (i) evaluate the association between posterior masticatory unit (PMU)

Night‐To‐Night Variability in Sleep Apnea Is Associated With Persistence and Burden of Device‐Detected Atrial Fibrillation

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, EarlyView.
Device detected atrial fibrillation and sleep apnea. CV = coefficient of variation; RDI = Respiratory disturbance index. ABSTRACT Using pacemaker‐derived thoracic impedance monitoring, sleep apnea severity and its night‐to‐night variability can be continuously tracked in patients with implanted cardiac devices.
