Parametric modelling of domestic air-source heat pumps [PDF]

open access: yesEnergy and Buildings, 2017
A new domestic air-source heat pump model is proposed which can be parameterised either from field data, experimental data or manufacturers’ standard rating data. The model differs from the much more prevalent system-side regression models for these types of heat pumps in that it operates on refrigerant-side variables.

Analysis of energy-saving effect of fresh air heat recovery system for residential buildings in severe cold area [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2022
In recent years, the tightness of residential buildings has been continuously enhanced, causing the problem of indoor air quality degradation. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce fresh air that meets the air quality requirements from the outside, and

Experimental investigation of an Air Source Heat Pump [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2019
An experimental investigation were driven to catch all working parameters of an Air Source Heat Pump such as temperature differences between refrigerant working states and evaporator respectively condenser environment temperatures. Heat Pump compressor were monitored to know inlet and outlet refrigerant temperatures to build working diagram of the heat

L-Sol – heating system with PVT-collectors as single heat source for a brine-water heat pump [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The building sector has a huge potential for reducing greenhouse gas emission without the need of a higher sufficiency. The key is to build and retrofit buildings with good envelopes as well as choosing efficient heating systems.

THE SCOP OF AN AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMP: COMPARISON BETWEEN ON-OFF AND INVERTER HEAT PUMP

open access: yesJP Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2021
The paper investigates the seasonal performance of electric air-to-water heat pump comparing an on-off heat pump with an inverter-driven variable speed compressor. Reference is made to a heat pump for domestic space heating installed in Bologna, and the bin-method proposed by UNI/TS 11300-4 is employed in order to investigate the effect of external ...

The performance of an ASHP system using waste air to recover heat energy in a subway system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In this short communication, we demonstrate that the performance of a typical air source heat pump (ASHP), exploiting a relatively stable air temperature within a subway environment, is high, even during the peak heating months.
