Air-Water Flow in Hydraulic Jumps on Macro-Roughness
Hydraulic jumps are highly complex three dimensional flows with strong energy dissipation and air bubble entrainment associated with intense mixing. To date turbulence and air-water flow observations in hydraulic jumps have been limited to smooth rectangular channels.

Planar Solid‐State Nanopores Toward Scalable Nanofluidic Integration Based on CMOS Technology
We present a scalable silicon‐based fabrication strategy for planar solid‐state nanopores to enable their integration with complex nanofluidic systems. Prototype devices demonstrate normal voltage‐current characteristics, good noise performance, and appreciable streaming currents. Our CMOS‐compatible fabrication process offers precise geometric control

Effect of tree microenvironment on sweet cherry fruit transpiration, xylem, and phloem flows
This study provides an overview of how shading covers can affect air vapor pressure deficit (VPD) and sweet cherry water status, and it fruit absolute growth rate (AGR), and its xylem (X), phloem (P), and transpiration (T) flows.

A geyser is an explosive flow of air–water mixture shooting out of a manhole. It has been demonstrated experimentally that the releasing motion of confined air pockets in a dropshaft is the key mechanism to trigger a geyser.

Advective Diffusion of Air Bubbles in Turbulent Water Flows [PDF]
In turbulent free-surface flows, strong interactions between turbulent waters and the atmosphere may lead to some air bubble entrainment. The entrained air is advected within the bulk of the flow and the air-water mixing give a whitish appearance to the ...
