Journal of Engineering for Gas Turbines and Power, 2008
This paper reports on an experimental investigation on natural circulation and air-injection enhanced circulation performed adopting different fluids. This work is aimed at providing information on the basic mechanisms proposed in the design of future reactors relying on such circulation mechanisms for core cooling.

The Motion of Circulation of the Air
1994Inasmuch as the sphere of air envelops the earth with a weight equivalent to a column of water 18 to 19 \(\frac{1}{2}\) cubits high and in this way forms a unity with the earth, it is a necessary corollary that if the earth spins, as Copernicus believes (See Book IV, Chapter 9), the whole system of air at the same time accompanies the earth undisturbed.

Northern Hemispheric Air Circulation
2004New theoretical basis is developed and is applied to diagnosis of the climatically prevailing atmospheric transports using the time mean climate data. Balance equations are decomposed into the continual mixture of interacting circulation patterns in the ranges of the synoptic eddy (SE) variability and climate background flow (BG) including the upscale ...

Circulation in sanitary ventilation by bactericidal irradiation of air
Journal of the Franklin Institute, 1945Abstract 1. 1. An improved method of measuring sanitary ventilation has been developed. The average lethal exposure of air-borne infection between occupants of enclosed spaces measures air disinfection in terms of ventilation, a lethe of disinfection becoming the sanitary equivalent of an air change of ventilation. 2. 2. Lethal exposure of E.

The Design of a Portable Air-Circulating Unit
1950A portable electric air-circulating and heating unit has been developed for home or office use. The problem was approached through evaluation of the atmospheric factors relating to human comfort, and included a basic reconsideration of the means by which control of these factors might be achieved.

Mesoscale Circulations and Regional Air Pollution
2003Graphical representation of spatial and temporal scales of dynamical meteorological phenomena, atmospheric dispersion processes, atmospheric chemical processes and human and environmental impacts of air pollution are presented in order to understand spatial and temporal scales of air pollution.
