Dual‐Layer Living Hydrogel Enables On‐Demand Delivery of Phages and Probiotics for Synergistic Wound Infection Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A dual‐layer living hydrogel, ProΦGel, integrates bacteriophages and probiotics for synergistic wound infection therapy. The outer gelatin‐based matrix releases phages on demand in response to P. aeruginosa infections, while inner alginate beads sustain probiotic delivery.

Using the technique of air injection into soil to determine penetration resistance force at different humidity

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Research, 2016
The work objective is to establish the relationship of such soil parameters as soil moisture (SM), penetration resistance force (PRF), and time of the compressed air release.

On the measurement of air permeability.

open access: yesNetherlands Journal of Agricultural Science, 1987
Air pemeability values are used to assess the state of aeration, soil structural stability, structural degradation and compaction. A simple experimental procedure, using a constant-speed motor, a syringe and simple pressure sensors, is discussed. At steady-state air flow throught a soil sample the air permeability coefficient can be derived directly ...

Gold Nanoclusters as Dual Agents for Engineering Tumor Vascular Leakiness and Performing Photothermal Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Many cancer nanotherapeutics, while potent, suffer from the inability to escape from the tumor vasculature, especially in the absence of endothelial permeability. In this work, ultrasmall gold nanoclusters could engineer nanomaterials induced endothelial leakiness (NanoEL) and harness strong NIR induced photothermal characteristics to suppress tumor ...

Investigation of the effect of different structural parameters of cotton woven fabrics on their air permeability

open access: yes, 2017
This study presents an investigation of the effect of different structural parameters of cotton woven fabrics on their air permeability. For this purpose, 24 fabric samples having different structural properties were obtained by using three different ...

Novel Functional Materials via 3D Printing by Vat Photopolymerization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This Perspective systematically analyzes strategies for incorporating functionalities into 3D‐printed materials via Vat Photopolymerization (VP). It explores the spectrum of achievable functionalities in recently reported novel materials—such as conductive, energy‐storing, biodegradable, stimuli‐responsive, self‐healing, shape‐memory, biomaterials, and
