In this study, the preparation techniques for silver‐based gas diffusion electrodes used for the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide (eCO2R) are systematically reviewed and compared with respect to their scalability. In addition, physics‐based and data‐driven modeling approaches are discussed, and a perspective is given on how modeling can aid ...

Cellulose Membranes: Synthesis and Applications for Water and Gas Separation and Purification
Membranes are a selective barrier that allows certain species (molecules and ions) to pass through while blocking others. Some rely on size exclusion, where larger molecules get stuck while smaller ones permeate through.

MAGTWIST: A compact magnetic rotary actuator, enabling smooth, stepless rotation, and on‐demand locking. Inspired by peristalsis, a soft polymer belt generates a traveling‐wave, enabling 270° rotation when heated. Cooling stiffens the belt, locking it in position and enabling it to withstand high loads.

Sub-surface processes and heat fluxes at coarse blocky Murtèl rock glacier (Engadine, eastern Swiss Alps): seasonal ice and convective cooling render rock glaciers climate-robust [PDF]
We measured sub-surface heat fluxes and calculated the energy budget of the coarse blocky active layer (AL) of Murtèl rock glacier, a seasonally snow-covered permafrost landform located in the eastern Swiss Alps.

Nanolayer‐Encapsulated Stretchable Liquid‐Metal Sheets for Thermal Management
A stretchable liquid metal sheet with both high thermal conductivity and mechanical flexibility is developed. Its trilayer structure, comprising copper‐particle‐dispersed gallium liquid metal encapsulated by styrene‐butadiene‐styrene nanosheets, shows 40.4 W m−1 K−1 conductivity, elongation exceeding 200%, and retention of 96% of its initial ...

Many cancer nanotherapeutics, while potent, suffer from the inability to escape from the tumor vasculature, especially in the absence of endothelial permeability. In this work, ultrasmall gold nanoclusters could engineer nanomaterials induced endothelial leakiness (NanoEL) and harness strong NIR induced photothermal characteristics to suppress tumor ...
