Fungal Antimicrobial Resistance: Mechanisms, Drivers, and Global Clinical Burden
ABSTRACT Fungal antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a growing concern for world health caused by an increase in multidrug‐resistant infections, an increase in environmental reservoirs, and the ineffectiveness of current antifungal treatments. Fungal infections continue to be largely excluded from AMR initiatives while causing over 1.6 million deaths ...

Our key findings show that polyurethane passive air samplers can sample insects, although highly abundant insects tend to be overrepresented. Our results also suggest that airborne eDNA might give us a broad temporal image of the insect communities over several weeks, rather than a snapshot of when samples are collected.

Temporal Persistence of Vertebrate Airborne Environmental DNA in a Natural Open‐Air Setting
Airborne detection of a single known DNA source under natural outdoor conditions ceased 3 days after source removal, indicating that airborne eDNA primarily reflects recent animal presence rather than a lasting trace. These findings offer key insights for optimizing field deployment of airborne eDNA sampling.

Artificial bee homes become eDNA reservoirs of insect, plant, fungal, and bacterial taxa providing a non‐invasive way to assess the ecology of wild bee larvae. ABSTRACT While the colonial honeybee is widely recognized by the public as a pollinator, thousands of native bees play an important but often under‐recognized role.

The effect of dust storm on the microbial quality of ambient air in Ahvaz city and dust source identification using numerical modeling [PDF]
Introduction: Airborne particles are considered to be an important indicator of air quality and high concentrations of these particles cause many health problems. Around the world, it is impossible to avoid contact with bio-aerosol contamination in urban

Endobronchial Aspergillosis Presenting as an Isolated Airway Lesion in an Immunocompromised Patient
Endobronchial Aspergillus infection should be considered in immunocompromised patients presenting with airway obstruction, even in the absence of parenchymal lung involvement. This case highlights the potential for rapid clinical deterioration and the diagnostic challenges in distinguishing endobronchial aspergillosis from more aggressive forms of ...

Edible Insect Allergens: An Emerging Food Safety Challenge
Allergic responses to edible insects arise via two main pathways: cross‐reactivity with homologous arthropod allergens and primary sensitization to edible insect proteins, both leading to IgE‐mediated immune activation. ABSTRACT Edible insects are increasingly promoted as sustainable protein sources; however, their allergenic potential remains a ...
