Abstract This study demonstrates the high‐resolution profiling of cloud microphysics in a laboratory chamber using Time‐Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) LiDAR. We present a novel retrieval method to derive vertical extinction (σ) $(\sigma )$ profiles, constrained by in situ measurements, to diagnose responses to dry‐air entrainment.

Abstract Accurately modeling ambient fine particulate matter (diameter <2.5 μm, PM2.5) is crucial to air quality management. We evaluate how uncertainties in biomass burning (BB) emissions, anthropogenic emissions, and secondary organic aerosol (SOA) production mechanisms impact simulated PM2.5 mass, composition, and statistical accuracy of modeled PM2.
