Oral Injury Caused by the Airtraq®
エアトラック®を用いた挿管で口腔内裂傷を起こした1例を経験した. 挿管を行ったのはエアトラック®の使用経験が20例以上ある麻酔科指導医であった. 挿管操作は円滑であったにもかかわらず, 右口蓋弓の裂傷は長さ3cm, 深さ1cmに及び縫合が必要であった. エアトラック®のブレード先端部分に丸みがなく鋭利であることが原因と考えたが, 2008年1月現在, 製造元ではブレードの仕様変更の予定はない. 当院では当面の安全対策として, シリコン製のカバーを先端部分に装着し先端部分を鈍にして使用している. また, エアトラック®の挿入方法についても再検討し, 推奨されている正中挿入法を遵守するよう心がけている.
