Methods of Airway Resistance Assessment
Airway resistance is the ratio of driving pressure to the rate of the airflow in the airways. The most frequent methods used to measure airway resistance are whole-body plethysmography, the interrupter technique and the forced oscillation technique.

Vat Polymerization 3D Printing for Controlled Drug Release Applications
ABSTRACT Vat polymerization (VP) 3D printing, a light‐based additive manufacturing technique, has emerged as a promising technique for fabricating complex drug delivery systems with high precision and spatial resolution. This layer‐by‐layer manufacturing process enables the creation of intricate geometries and customizable architectures, which are ...

Effects of propofol, desflurane, and sevoflurane on respiratory functions following endoscopic endonasal transsphenoidal pituitary surgery: a prospective randomized study [PDF]
Background General anesthesia with intravenous or inhalation anesthetics reduces respiratory functions. We investigated the effects of propofol, desflurane, and sevoflurane on postoperative respiratory function tests.

Cadherin-26 (CDH26) regulates airway epithelial cell cytoskeletal structure and polarity. [PDF]
Polarization of the airway epithelial cells (AECs) in the airway lumen is critical to the proper function of the mucociliary escalator and maintenance of lung health, but the cellular requirements for polarization of AECs are poorly understood.

The Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome [PDF]
Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome has been recognized as a major public health problem. Both its cardiovascular and metabolic comorbidities and symptoms motivate for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. The main stimulus associated with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and explaining deleterious consequences is intermittent hypoxia.
