Generalised photon sieves: fine control of complex fields with simple pinhole arrays [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Spatial shaping of light beams has led to numerous new applications in fields such as imaging, optical communication, and micromanipulation. However, structured radiation is less well explored beyond visible optics, where methods for shaping fields are ...

Intensity-symmetric Airy beams

open access: yesJournal of the Optical Society of America A, 2015
Theoretical, numerical, and experimental research on a novel family of Airy beams in rectangular coordinates having a symmetric transverse pattern of light intensity is presented. The intensity-symmetric Airy beams include both the symmetric Airy beam whose field amplitude is an even function of the transverse coordinates and the antisymmetric Airy ...

Goos-H\"anchen and Imbert-Fedorov Shifts for Airy Beams

open access: yes, 2018
In this work, I present a full analytical theory for the Goos-H\"anchen and Imbert-Fedorov shifts experienced by an Airy beam impinging on a dielectric surface.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Dynamic Generation of Airy Beam Utilizing the Full-Space Programmable Metasurface

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Airy beams exhibit enormous application potential in the field of optics and microwave owing to their unique self-bending, self-accelerating, and non-diffracting characteristics.

Anomalous Propagation Characteristics of Airy Beam in Nonlinear Kerr Media

open access: yesCrystals, 2021
The propagation characteristics of a single Airy beam in nonlinear Kerr media were numerically investigated by utilizing the split-step Fourier transform method.

Coupled Airy breathers

open access: yes, 2014
The dynamics of two component coupled Airy beams is investigated. In the linear propagation regime a complete analytic solution describes breather like propagation of the two components featuring non-diffracting self-accelerating Airy behavior.

Nondiffracting Accelerating Waves: Weber waves and parabolic momentum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Diffraction is one of the universal phenomena of physics, and a way to overcome it has always represented a challenge for physicists. In order to control diffraction, the study of structured waves has become decisive. Here, we present a specific class of

Generation of Hollow Airy Beam by Superposing of Two-Dimensional Airy Beams [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Abstract We study the collisions of four self-focused counterpropagating 2D Airy beams propagating in free space. Their interactions demonstrate that can be obtained hollow beams through the superposition of more than two Airy beams and are well-preserved upon propagation.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐
